From a young age, I’ve been drawn to problem solving and communication — two things that naturally led me to pursue a career in law. I’ve always loved the challenge of breaking down complex issues, tailoring practical solutions, and giving clear, strategic advice to clients. Currently, I’m studying my LLB whilst working as a paralegal at Horizon Lex. My role has allowed me to get hands-on with real cases, interact with clients, and deepen my understanding of how the law works in practice. Every day, I’m building the skills I need to become a solicitor — from drafting and legal research to advising on issues that really matter to people. Working in a fast-paced legal environment has shown me the value of collaboration and adaptability. Whether it’s discussing strategies with colleagues or helping clients navigate legal challenges, I’m motivated by the human side of the law — where advice meets action. One of the most exciting parts of my journey so far has been the chance to work on cross-border matters. As a paralegal at Horizon Lex, I’ve been fortunate to support on cases involving clients and legal teams across the US, Canada, and Australia. These experiences have not only broadened my global perspective but also taught me how different legal systems approach similar issues — which has sharpened my problem-solving skills even further. Collaborating with international colleagues has shown me how valuable diverse thinking can be when tackling complex legal challenges. Whether it’s coordinating case details across time zones or contributing to strategy calls, I’ve learned how to adapt quickly, communicate effectively, and keep the client’s goals at the heart of everything we do.
